hi all new member needing some info please
basically i got a syncro gearbox cheap and i have the chance of a old school quattro rear subframe with diff and everything
what i need to know is will the diff work with the syncro box gearing wise? As you may of guessed im not to clued up to these setups as i was goin to use a vr6 engine with r32 running gear and gearbox
any info would be good info
thanks
gaz
No, they are not compatable, you need a Golf or Passat rear subframe/diff to match your front,
btw which gearbox do you have? the rod or cablechange one?
i have the rod change one while we are on the subject do you know the part number or the length of the rod? the one with the balls on either end?
thanks
Have a look here

btw there is no way a rod change gearbox from a 1986 to 91 Syncro will run a VR6 engine
o i know that mate lol i was goin to run that engine with r32 box sorry for confusion im goin to run a 1.9 gt tdi block bored out to 2.1 with custom pistons nd rods and a stronger crank with a garret gt35 turbo with wrc bearing cage my aim is around 600bhp
so will have to get hold of a syncro rear diff will use quattro rear axle unless i can get hold of a full syncro rear subframe
