Coilovers – do other models fit

I ahve two sets of coilovers both of which are said to have come off a Rallye.The first are FK and are labelled Golf 3 for the front and Golf 1 for the rears.
The second set are KW V2 and checking the part nos tells me these are for a 9N Polo.
Can anyone tell me whether these are interchangeable?I have looked at Etka and the Polo suspension looks very similar.
Your help would be much appreciated as I would like to use the KWs and sell the FKs but do not want to sell anybody a set that does not do the job.

golf 2 3 syncro and passat syncro will fit

tho. there are different spring-rates. but on the cheap sets they are all the same
