plastic engine tray!!

Hi everyone,
i am after the plastic tray that sits under the bonnet and covers the wiper motor etc.I have a 1989 syncro.

Left or right hand drive?

LHD p/n is 191 819 415C

RHD p/n is 192 819 415C

VW have redesigned this part, it is now a lot thicker and stronger, and both LHD & RHD are still available from the dealer, but as they cost somewhere about 35 euros (25 pounds) a piece though, this might explain why they are still on stock,

btw, the 2WD part is the same so a visit to your local scrapyard may pay off.

I think I found one of the newer ones you mean chris and if we’re talking about the same part the new one is LOTs better than the old one. the old ones would split and crack just by frowning at them but the new ones are really nice and solid.

Hi,i phoned vw main dealer regarding the above item and was told this part is now obsolete[].Thought you might like to add it to your list Chris.
I have managed to source a very nice second hand one for £5.[]
Bargain i reckon.
