Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberMy Jetta has sat 11 years and I could put a fuel pump and battery on it to make it run. It presently awaits to import the Syncro bits that are at my friend’s house in Germany. I am in USA.
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberDo you need me to check my ISV for you? Mine too has sat for 11 years, it needed a fuel pump then and that plus a battery now.
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberYour car is ’89 16V CIS-E? Mine is ’88 16V CIS-E. I can look for the wires for you.
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberThe earth strap will cause a slow or no turning, the click-click is most always the starter’s motor and/or solenoid.
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberHave you lightly tap the solenoid with a small hammer? If it will turn while doing that you know the starter motor is good and just replace the solenoid.
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberYou on any of the Facebook groups for Syncro? What’s your project? Mine’s in my signature.
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberHi! Where in the USA are you? I’m in Louisiana doing a 16V G60 Syncro to my Mk2 Jetta. Anyway, go to Harbor Freight and get a tap-and-die set for $20 and you’ll always know. You can find better quality and prices online too.
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberPlease someone ring them and ask if they can print more…

Does the 9A have the mounting lugs and oil squirters?
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberI am, or was, confused because when you said “scrub that” I thought you meant that Worldpress wasn’t going to work. Definitely go with something that will work on with a phone, most car people don’t go inside to use the computer anymore whilst working on the car.
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberIf you want the best free forum, go with phpBB.
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberThat’s to send an email, if I’m correct, but I mean to sent private messages via this website (meaning it’s an interface that stays within this website, not going to emails).
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberDoes this current forum software have a way to send someone a private message?
Jetta GTX 16V SyncroMemberI can confirm that threads, users and data is lost during a conversion. I’ve only done it once, well when I went to IPS (Invision Power Board) the conversion was a paid service. Here is my board is you want to try the software:
