MemberThe original has a towing limit of 1500kg, but they are available in lesser ratings and hence cheaper. You could modify a standard Golf type or try to find a Syncro version which should fit, but they are likely to be a lesser rating.
Also be careful with some of the adverts ’cause I noticed that some were for the swan neck only.
Have you tried a local firm? They may be able to supply something, and cheaper if it comes over in a container with a load of others.

Participantive seen the 2 types but i really would like a genuine one as they just bolt on and off and i think they fit in the space that i have in my wheel space where the foam holder is with the jack and where the medical kit would be.

MemberI must admit, mine is a 1150kg version and I’ve never checked to see if it comes off!

ParticipantIve managed to get an original refurbished one from Hungary, Ouch Euro though.
He also refurbishes all Country parts and rebuilds them.
His prices are at a premium but he has most things you would need.August 8, 2011 at 4:29 pm #8585Chris S
