    I will have a 02C transmission and 9A engine, what stater do I need to use?

    02A or 02C starter they are the same :)

    020 won’t work

    the 02C box IS a 02A box with a different differential and bellhousing

    Okay, I’m trying to source something that is readily available in America. We never got the 02C here. What car(s) did the 02A come in, maybe that is a regular transmission here.

    I guess for that matter I should ask what flywheel to use also.

    you need a 02C/02A flywheel (from the 4cyl ones)

    corrado/golf/passat gearbox

    same with the clutch.

    i’ve got a clutchnet stage 2 on my 16v Turbo syncro. works great. a bit stiff, but holds about 500nm :)
