Wanted: Scirocco 16V cast exhaust manifold

I’m after a Scirocco 16V exhaust manifold – just the cast piece, and not the downpipe, etc.

I think it’s definitely a Scirocco 16V item that I need, and not one from a Corrado or Golf 16V.

P/N 027 253 031AB – Unfortunately dropped without replacement by VW in April 2007.

Just out of interest, what actually is the difference between this & the Golf/Corrado 16v manifold?

I just emailed the VW Dealer again over this part!

My Partsman just emailed back & unfortunately there isn’t one left anywhere in the worldwide VW network

Ooh – yes, I did get one of these in the end. I got it over from the US though, after placing some wanted adverts on VWVortex. Probably cost me over £100 in the end.

I’m not sure if I’ll actually use it now because I’ve invested in an RTech AC/DC TIG welder to build a suitable manifold from scratch, but for now I shall keep the Scirocco on the shelf just in case.

Managed to source one – just waiting for delivery of it now.

Hopefully I can get hold of a standard scirocco downpipe too (with silencer), then I can bin off the 4 branch on my sisters mk1!

Downpipe to match the manifold (KR motorcode) is P/N 533 253 209K Which was dropped without replacement by VW on 01/07/2010

btw, it cost over 500 euros from VW!
