Transfer box

I think my transfer box has gone ?

for start of problem,

the car still goes but somtimes it seems like it violently jumps in and out of rythm on the rear wheels, and is making a whirring noise,

any ideas

also can the transfer box be split from the gear box

can the transfer box be referbed

if it can be split from the gear box and cant be referbed does any 1 have 1

i had a similar problem on my old syncro i bought a new transfer box but didn’t solve the problem, turned out to be the final drive in the gearbox had siezed up jaming the wheels. if it is the transfer box then you can seperate it fairly easily and iam sure plenty of guys on here have a spare for sale.
