    I’m just finding out that it’s really nice to modify a car in a single-minded manner. My Golf now has no other purpose than to be leathered around tracks, normally in good weather, so I can do slightly daft modifications like this ‘induction kit’:

    Yes, it’s a bit of concertina hose, with two zip-ties fastening the end into the hole where the offside spot light was. Nice.

    Does it make much difference? Should do, in theory, I can’t be sure, though, as I was too busy enjoying the track day!

    Hey if you put a single lamp grill in that will also save weight!

    & then why not take the vw badge out of the grill centre and duct it from there?
