This is my Syncro, which I’m sure most people saw failing to sell on Ebay in Malaga last year. At the time it was on ATS cups.
It’s now in the bodyshop and has just been painted. These are the latest photos I have.
Unfortunately I’ve got to sell my left hand drive 16 valve with Digifiz to fund it so that’s on Ebay at the moment. I’d have liked to have kept both if only because they’re the same colour and have almost consecutive UK plates
there cant be many Syncros in Malaga!
Do you have a link to the GTI that you have on ebay?
That’s the 16 valve:

I want £1200 for it which is super cheap compared to the amount of money it’s had lavished on it in Genuine VW parts
I’m told a German expat took it down there and left it there – the previous owners were Brits from Wakefield of all places! There are plenty of big hills that get snow just behind the Costa Brava, I suppose it made some sense up there
I just found it

Depending on the kilometers the display alone is worth a couple of hundred, as they only go up to 300 thousand kilometers then freeze.
I know. I could break it for far more than it will do on the ‘bay but I saved it in the first place so I don’t want to be responsible for its destruction. I’ve got a new old stock cluster with it as well as the one in the car is an 8 valve one.

Well done for saving it, A man after my own heart! [^]

For reference, I can reset the odometer on Digifiz to zero or any arbitrary value.
I know it never bothered me that it was wrong but it seems to be the end of the world on Ebay
It’s taking long enough but the car is slowly coming back together. A new chin spoiler is on the shopping list.
I hope the image link works – this is it now. The photo is from the Practical Classics feature shoot when it was on the cover last year.
