    Good afternoon all!

Can anyone confirm what the tapped threads should be for the Syncro rear crossmember? I need to chase the threads on mine.

    Thread 1: M8, for tank strap bolt (N 019 700 2), M8x30
    Thread 2: M10, for mounting bolt (N 101 417 01), M10x25
    Thread 3: M10, for mounting bolt (N 101 417 01), M10x25
    Thread 4: M8, for tank strap bolt (N 019 700 2), M8x30)

Thanks in advance for the help!

    Ben

Hi! Where in the USA are you? I’m in Louisiana doing a 16V G60 Syncro to my Mk2 Jetta. Anyway, go to Harbor Freight and get a tap-and-die set for $20 and you’ll always know. You can find better quality and prices online too.

Thanks for the help. I have a tap and die set already, but the threads were pretty beat up. I want to chase the threads, but want to make sure I use the correct tap. :)

Oh, and I live just outside Portland, Oregon.

You on any of the Facebook groups for Syncro? What’s your project? Mine’s in my signature.

Got them! I’ll leave the info up here for anyone else who may be interested.
