Hi fellow syncrowierdos ( haha )

my original vw sound deadning is not usable anymore. its been submerged in water for too long during this winter.

so its mouldy and smells like.. best guess, cat-piss.

meaning it has to go. and new OEM soundeadning isn’t available.

so, i need to replace it with something somehow. cause the G60 is noisey :)

carpets are also too far gone. but i’ve got a replacement LHD black carpet lying around for this.

anyone know what i should to in this case? :)

    /Dan

yes, but it also has these thick mats with butyl on one side and old clothing on the other :).

the clothing crap covers the floors, the prop-shaft tunell and bulkhead.

havn’t found anything that is useable :/

I bought acoustic foam insulation that goes under timber flooring. I glued them a few layers together until they were 10-12mm thick and cut them to fit, very light and appears to make a difference to road noise :)
