MemberI am replacing my rear drums with….more drums! However, the ones I ordered from VW heritage are just the standard Golf drums. Any idea where I can get the proper drums and/or the difference between them? IE part #. All help as usual is greatly appreciated, I am stumped at the moment. Cheers, D

ParticipantLooks like the part number is 191609617A, the drums you bought from Heritage are 200×40 and the ones you need are 230×48.5. If you google the part number there are a few links come up. Hope this helps. If i’m wrong i’m sure Chris or someone will be along shortly to confirm.
On a different note, a fella once told me that mondeo drums fit but need machining on a lathe, cant remember exactly what he said but it was something along them lines.April 11, 2013 at 10:42 am #10072Ademaxx

ModeratorYes fire away, they are listed as 230mm X 40mm & that is correct for the G2 Syncro

dazfxvwParticipantYou can get all the parts from euro car parts, same parts as Mk2 caddy, and cheap as chips, I think the shoes worked out to £7-8 for all 4 (yes £7 for both sides)

ModeratorThe Shoes are the same & thats a good find, but are the Drums the same as ETKA has a different part number?

dazfxvwParticipantThe shoes and brake cylinder are deffinately the same as I have fitted them , I beleive the caddy uses two different drums but only one is list in etka, two different shoes listed though.???
