I just found this and it looks like a far cheaper alternative to parcelforce and they collect your package from your house, so no more queing up for hours in the post office then after you have found somewhere near to one to park
If any one has any experience of this company can they post (haha) their findings here please,
btw, they are shipping my new Eaton charger from robc in Lancaster over to me in the Netherlands this week,I will let you know how it gets on.
Chris – any news on this? I hope the ‘charger has arrived safely!
Graham
Not yet! I just had an e-mail from Rob saying the parcel had been returned to him as it was not correctly adressed, will post more as I find out.
Ta.
I’ve been using Parcel2Go for ages – it’s basically just DHL under a budget brand. It’s aimed at eBay sales – they’ll give you discounts for putting their logo on your auctions etc. The idea is that punters aren’t quite so sensitive as businesses to things getting there bang on time, so their services are 24 and 48 hours. I’ve not had any problems with their service – always seemed excellent to me.
ANYTHING is better than Parcelforce, even giving your parcel and a tenner to a tramp would probably improve the chances of it getting to its destination vs Parcelfarce.
The package with the Eaton charger has just arrived here at my housr in Holland at 11:00am Wednesday morning, having spent a total of 47 hours on the way since being collected from Robs house in Lancaster on monday morning, so on this performance its got to be thumbs up from me,
I have another 2 or 3 parcels to come from the UK in the next couple of weeks so will see if this was a one off or not.
Ive, used this company they’re pretty good, collected and shipped a gearbox to Ireland for not mega money.
