Yes I’m considerring selling one of the 115….
Basically my Jetta needs a couple of bits doing and I have too much on my plate atm. It still runs and is totally reliable – I did a couple of trips to the south coast in it last month (500m round trips) and it managed them without a problem.

    1990 “G” reg 108k miles Tax/MOT end Sept 2009.
Its a one of a kind in two-tone red and silver.
Since I’ve had the car (2yrs, 8k miles) its had new front disks, pads, rear springs/shocks, front bearings, GTi – “pb” head, weber 32/34 carb with K&N, plugs, leads, dizzy. Thers prob more but thats all I can think of off the top of my head.
It always starts first time and goes quite well.

Update: Rear brakes now sorted – new pipes, hoses and cylinders on both sides
Rad fan is fixed and now kicks in automatically

    Bad bits:
Gear linkage – The spring has gone so theres effectively no gate to get into reserve … been like this since I got it, I just got used to it.
o/s/r wheel bearing is occasionally noisy and will need replacing at some point – not urgent atm and replacement bearings included.
Bit of rust on the back and on the o/s, nothing drastic but I think it needs sorting before it gets worse … n/s looks good though [;)]

None of these jobs are major, but I’ve got too much on to do them myself, as said the car is taxed/tested, starts and runs ok.

Its currently on some 15″ le castellet alloys (rare themselves, 500 sets made) which are worth a bit on their own – I could sell the car on standard wheels with legal(ish) tyres.

I’m not sure what its worth but I’m gonna say £750 as its kinda rare, runs well and is T&T until end of September this year.
I’ve got a bit of spare time this week so will see about fixing a couple of the bits that need doing.

Anyone interested either post here or email skattrd [at] gmail [dot] com

I know what you mean. I’ve all ready had someone else ask if I can hold it for a couple of months until the sort out funds. I don’t think this is the right time of year to sell a car tbh.

I’ll see how it goes, but if it doesn’t sell in a week or two I may just sideline it for a while and try again in a couple of months, I’ll keep you posted.

I never knew there was another Jetta syncro in Lincoln, what colour is it and I’ll keep an eye out for it.

I might go and see if i can find ways to get the funds faster. Im owed rather a lot of cash from a couple of different avenues, so ill get chasing
