Ugh, this beam looked pretty good until I pryed out the bushings:

Seems like there is some kind of sleeve in there that has rusted and is disintegrating, tho I don’t see any extra parts in ETKA. I pryed up the edge of it in the first 2 pics, and scraped out some of it in the last pic. Never really had a beam out of a car before, so I don’t know what it should look like…

Is there a fix for this? Thanks for the help!

I think that possibly the ring is part of the bushing!

knock the sleeve out :) its bushing related, had to do this to install yellow bushings on my golf

then give it a good clean with a wirebrush, and you are good to go

Hmmm, I’ll take a look at some new bushings, guess I don’t remember the sleeve…

Yeah, that’s just what was left of the bushings… pryed it all out & the beam looks fine. Duh! Thanks!

Dunno, bought it off somebody. Gonna powdercoat it & trade for a Dutchdub-modified rear beam. [:D]

Safe to say they were totally worn tho by the way they fell out…
