LD50KeymasterHa putting them all in that bucket made sense at the time I’m sure.. but now not so much 😉
Tho I bet most of the folks on here could ID *most* bolts or part without having to run to etka…

lloydyParticipantHa, yes I bet! Pics tomorrow, but so far this week I’ve fitted sound deadening everywhere, carpets and rear seats are in plus 90% of the heater core/ventilation is put in

lloydyParticipantnot really 😀
cant really do much more in the interior without opening the doors fully, so needs wheeling outside on a dry day. Monday hopefully. As per the pics rear seats, carpet and heater core in. Also ran phono cables to the sub amp in the rear while i could.
Also trial fitted the Kamei hoodscoop, i like it..Attachments:

lloydyParticipantlockdown does give you the time to do stuff…
replaced flange seals on the rear diff, fitted diff protection
engine arrived! And fitted! slight calamity in that the ecu i had was faulty and kept the injectors open, resulted in a engine so full of petrol it was coming out the inlet and exhaust!
sorted that though!
as you can see front of the car is back on. 😀
engine has been fired up and run up to temp!
new arb fitted.
next, err not sure, still lots to do!Attachments:

lloydyParticipantwell, it has ventured out.. have done about 40 miles or so. Drives lovely even though i havent done the alignment yet.Driving characteristics have changed slightly with the gti ecu and 268 cam, not much happens below 2200rpm, then its pretty quick for a heavy lump. had a bit of an oil leak, turned out to be the cam oil seal. Had a spare so swapped that over, bit unusual for a new seal to leak, but it happened and it got sorted!
Took it up to Epsom Downs and took the agreed value pics for the insurance 😀Attachments:
