Mk2 golf gearbox syncro 4×4 AWD not rallye
Mk2 golf syncro gear box removed from a 1.8 mk2 golf country.
The car had done 90k before getting stripped for running gear due to shell being rotten.
gearbox worked fine before removal.
Ideal spare to have due to being a rare find or cure them crunching gears.
I am happy to package up for delivery at buyer’s expense.
bit dirty due to age of car.
Will end early at right price

btw, That is a rod change gearbox & will not fit a Rallye (or a Passat Syncro) & to be honest without the transfer box its really not worth very much.
just out of interest what happened to the transfer box?

Please notice it has the now unobtainable centre mounting bracket fitted!
He is also selling a Syncro rod change gearbox minus the transfer box, no way is he going to get anything like the asking price for it

i know it doesn’t fit rallye as i stated, (not rallye).
just copied above from my ebay listing which had it in title to get interest through search.
i still have transfer box just haven’t removed prop shaft from it yet. can include transfer box with gear box.
what would you recommend as a more suitable price? tbh i based mine around the above link you listed just i went lower to sell as i thought his was overpriced.
also does the transfer box fit any other gearboxes?
why is that glove box £50?
i know my first couple of posts are in for sale section which is never a great sign but im just starting a syncro project so should be more to follow. hopefully start a build thread soon.

With the transfer box it is far more salable, as it is usually the transfer box that breaks!

Q) Why is that glove box £50?A) Cos he is a greedy person! Actually its the badge thats valuable not the box, until last night this was on ebay with a buy it now for 20 pounds, after I emailed him over the badge he put the price up to 50 pounds, as I said a greedy person,
I will be absolutely gobsmacked if he manages to sell it at that ridiculous price.cheers for info mate.
going to remove prop from transfer box hopefully tonight so will add pictures up of transfer box.
