skattrdMy Jettas not been running well recently and after the incident with the exhaust I decided to give it a bit of an overhaul. As part of this I’m swapping over the carb head from the GU block for one from a pb head.
A couple of quick questions:
1) Blocking the injector holes:
The plastic injector seats wouldn’t come out so I had to cut them out. Any suggestions for what to put in their place to hold the pennies in, or should I order replacements from VW?
2)There appears to be an inlet for water on the back of the GU head above the manifolds that isn’t there on the pb head. Do I need to drill a similar hole in the pb head or will it be ok without?

2) Leave the head as is – that’s to warm the Pantsburg, which isn’t there any more, now is it?

As suspected I’m not using the Pierberg, so I’ll leave the head as is and order new seats tomorrow
