My Jettas not been running well recently and after the incident with the exhaust I decided to give it a bit of an overhaul. As part of this I’m swapping over the carb head from the GU block for one from a pb head.
    A couple of quick questions:

    1) Blocking the injector holes:
The plastic injector seats wouldn’t come out so I had to cut them out. Any suggestions for what to put in their place to hold the pennies in, or should I order replacements from VW?

2)There appears to be an inlet for water on the back of the GU head above the manifolds that isn’t there on the pb head. Do I need to drill a similar hole in the pb head or will it be ok without?

    Thx
    Chris

    1) Order new injector seats.

    2) Leave the head as is – that’s to warm the Pantsburg, which isn’t there any more, now is it?

    Thx for the reply.
As suspected I’m not using the Pierberg, so I’ll leave the head as is and order new seats tomorrow
