crossflow syncro??

    does anyone know if there was a crossflow engine ever fitted to the syncro? there’s an engine on ebay at the moment i could swear has a crossflow head..

    looks very much like the 1.4 from our polo. Crossflow with plastic inlet manifold with central choke, little alternator, roundy rocker cover and dizzy on the end.

    As far as I know the exhaust goes down the front with them and then over the subframe… I bet this was an easy motor to fit in the syncro in that sense, and cheap to tax.

    may have been removed from a syncro but i’d wager a fiver it’s not a syncro motor ;)

    sorry couldn’t work out how to do a link in time. i think it was a 1.4 polo motor anyway..
