ParticipantHello.
My car did have a fair share of idiots as po… and someone did remove the ABS UNIT!
Im looking for a new one… but is it the same on all Passats, Corrados etc?
As I see on etka the Corrado and Passat has the same partnumber but the first tree digits isnt the same…
The thing is.. .will they work with the Golfs abs ecu?
Cheers!

ModeratorI have a few good used ABS units here, do you have rear drum or disc brakes? as they are different ABS units,
Its a VR6 isnt it? so its discs, do you have a hydraulic clutch or a cable operated one?
As you may know I carry a limited supply of Syncro specific parts here for our members & I have a suitable ABS block for sale at a reasonable price here if you want it?
Please e-mail me through site.

ParticipantAhhh, drums or disc!
Im going for the vr6 conversion because of the supplys of parts here in Sweden for that engine…
I might wait with the abs until I got around fitting the vr6 with disc because my Golf has drums right now…
Thanks mate! You will hear from me later!

ModeratorWhen you are converting your Syncro to VR6, I trust you are going to swap the 020 gearbox out for an 02C box?

Participanthe has to replace the gearbox
the VR6 bellhousing is different from the 4cyl ones. and as far as i know, the rear diff has a different ratio aswell, so that has to be changed tooand i’ve never seen an “020” style gearbox for a vr6

i’ve got a passat G60 abs unit in my garage, along with the ecu, but no wiringloom, as that was totaly screwed ;(

ParticipantI have everything besides the abs with pump… but I will sort it. I did check ETKA and Corrado G60 used the same unit so I will be fine! [
