Sadly no syncro but my freshly restored 16v is now up for sale since I’ve run outta driveway space.

My drifting bent has got the better of me and I’m gonna get a car for doing that which means I need a RWD. So one of the others has to go…and well, it’s not going to be the syncro which leaves the gti

I don’t really want to sell it especially now it’s actually the car I wanted it to be when I got it, but me and the missus work from home so 3 cars between us might already be considered overkill, adding another one would probably be verging on unreasonable, especially as there’s no where to put it.

I’ve set up a website for it so I didn’t have to copy reams of text into autotrader and other listing.

It’s just had new coilovers, topmounts, exhaust and a respray as well as an oil-and-coolant change for good measure.

Mechanically it’s been great but the exterior was a bit tatty so I’ve been working on it like a loony since about may (when my syncro project thread went quiet) to make sure everything on it was sorted and working nicely.

I’ve just had it back from Bahnstorm with the new paint and bits on it.

No rust!

Any areas I’d found along the way were treated with the same process and vigour as the syncro and that technique has been holding up pretty well on that so this should hopefully be good for another decade or so

Some of you may remember I completely treated and resprayed the engine bay too a while back so this has had pretty much the full works by now.
