nice fabrication for the bulkhead. Wont you get pretty good air out of the bay even with the bonnet closed? Surely the air will flow out of the airvents on the bonnet?? I agreee that it wouldnt be anywhere the same, i just wondered if it was sufficient without attracting attention from the raised rear bonnet
I like this alot!! Good work!!
So you’ve built it, what are you going to do with it now?
Driving’s so much more interesting and fun than just building cars.
so all ran in now ,500miles+ and NO issues ….so this is a BIG THANK YOU to MATT AT DUBUNIT for all the time/ effort/ advice / knowledge /space /and all the ongoing development of the car … the list goes on ……and on ….. …..oh and the 300 quids worth of coffee we have done …
went to the rolling road centre i am using at the weekend ( street racers .com) spent 4hrs talking and getting a feel for the place and feel very confident in their abilities …..they are looking forward to setting it all up for me and recon my target figure is easily achieveable with the spec i am running ..
dale …….flog… its a go car ,not a show car !!!!!

oh this is gonna be a daily driver ….like all the other cars i have built ………no point doin it otherwise ….dale
What a nice ride.
I hope it is okay to raise a question about The gearbox, is it custom or taken from another VAG model ? My Golf GTI G60 Syncro is picked ud in the UK this summer, with a S3 engine doing 265 hp, but the gear box is not optimal. When giving max throttle it wont let the gearstick go until it is low in rpm. At normal to fresh driving it goes 100% normal – so that is why im interested in what you have done with your gearbox
Regards
Jesper
hi jes
the gearbox is a custom built sraight cut 6speed quaife item running vr6 ratios, with a ltd slip diff …again quaife ..works fantastic and the ratios are superb…its clears 68mph in second

Thanx for answer I will have to look into this, do you have a place where I can look, or is it just to google it ?
Btw, I saw on one of your pictures, you had a piece behind you turbo in front of the torpedo piece – is it custom or is it something I could buy? It looks very nice…
Best regards
J.
not sure what piece ya mean mate ? but if you cut the pic and paste on a marker i will tell you ok mate

The carbon/alu piece behind the turbo
ha ha ha see what ya mean now …unfortunatly i made it from 2.5mm ali plate and formed it to fit and the carbon skuttle tray cover was just a strip of plain knit carbon trimmed to shape …
easy to do though …

very impressed. following much the same path but with a 16vT, any updates on the mapping side of things?
got a few questions, what fuel tank, pump and lines are you using?
and what driveshafts are you using? narrow or wide track and for the back are they custom or have you got standard CV’s them?
