The Boss says she wants to go back to the ‘Ring, so it’s looking likely we’ll be off out there in 2008 – means I’ve got a bloody busy few months ahead of me.

A track to sort the drivers from the cruisers.
I’m trying to conjure up some interest from some folks I know with 928s. Could be an interesting long weekend.
I don’t think the calendar is out for 2008 yet, so if anyone’s interested, let me know when in the fairer months you’ll be better suited to going. I suggest we avoid school holidays and either end of the season would be better than the middle – not so much traffic (and it might rain – oh well!)!
We’ve decided on a date – 10-11th May.
This is the weekend when there is the fourth round of the GT racing at Nordschleife. That is on the Saturday. On the Sunday the track is open to the public all day. There is also track time either side of the weekend.

I would suggest everyone organises their own travel and accommodation as necessary. There are plenty of campsites, apartments and hotels around Nurburg and Adenau. http://www.nurburgring.org.uk has plenty of links on it.
Sadly that’s too late for us, as my other half is due mid-July!
Be careful out there with your lump-hammers!
Hurrah, The May meeting at the Ring is now well & truly on.
I have booked 2 twin rooms “guesthouse Komturei”, price: 85,- euros per night per room incl. breakfast.
Arriving: 9th of May 2008, leaving: 12th of May 2008 (3 nights).Please note 85 euros is the price per room per night, not per person per night.
As of yesterday there was 1 more twin room available for these dates if anyone else is interested?
or I can hitch up my caravan which will sleep 2 inside & 2 more in the extension tent if its needed.TC has got a good ferry deal with Norfolk line at 28 pounds return for a car & up to 5 people.
btw its 417 kilometers from the ferry terminal to the accomodation in Adenau.

The ‘Ring was f**king great. Danny, Dave and I had a fantastic time.

With the 100 RON fuel from the Aral station in Adenau my motor is now running like a right sweetie.
The photo was taken about 9AM on the Monday. That was after polybushing the front wishbones at a garage local to the ‘Ring on the Sunday, after the track ate the original set.
