    Hi,
new to this forum so hello to everyone, bought myself a jetta syncro yeaterday and i have a slight query with the rear of the car, car has been looked after and has no signs of damage etc etc, the original badges still remain etc so it looks very genuine.
I couldn’t help but notice the rear looks as if it has slight negative camber? both wheels are the same. I was just wondering what this may be? I have kind of ruled out bent arms etc as both wheels are negative to look at but was wondering if this could be bush related( done 106k )? any advice would put my mind to ease,

    thanks guys

The rear springs are known to weaken & sag with age.

I dont know, but Jetta Syncro rear springs are a tad stiffer than the Golf Syncro ones

i had the same problem with my syncro when i got it. since put kw variant 1 coilovers and it seems to have improved, but i think the bushes are worn as well. might be worth polybushing it..
also can anyone tell me why my front shocks are topping out hard when i go over speed bumps? i’ve got the ride height wound so it’s standard when sat on the ground but that involved putting preload on the springs. is this a bad idea?

also does anyone know which anti-roll bar i should put on the front? since i’ve put the new coilovers on it feels more rolly..

It sounds like your new springs are too soft.

    Hi dw069,

Mine suffered from the same and I have to say I hated it.

With the info from various members here, the spring sagged over time was clear, and the only way to fix it will be to get a new spring, or to use Passat spring with mods.
I was a bit against the idea of having the spring modified at the time, cut 2-3 rounds, so what I have done to my G Syncro was to put a spacer hub between the lower seat and the spring itself.

I wish I could show a picture but I do not know how…

Can someone show me how to attach??
