Yes, it was the ultimate Golf 2 road car but now modified & no longer an original G60 Syncro, but there is nowhere in the ebay advert/auction that it states that it is lerft hand drive, which it so obviously is.
I think the ‘wrongness’ may stem from the change of engine in a pretty rare car, but if you’re the owner you’re entitled to do what the hell you want – it’s your car.
I can understand it upsetting or annoying some people though.

And to be honest I dont find it upsetting or annoying, its more just a little disapointing.i`m going to put my hands up, i always intended to put a 20vt in that car but a cheaper Gsyncro came along namely the green one which was already modded, so i sold it on
I was just moaning about the fact that the advert did not make it clear that it was no longer equipped with a supercharger. It was only apparent if you knew that a 1.8t was in fact a different engine.
I know you should make sure before you buy, it wasn’t exactly clear and I wonder how many of the bidders twigged?
