I havent bid on this, but I think it is what i would need for a VR transplant into my mk2 snycro?

Is it overpriced? with the buy it now?

Considering the last VR6 Syncro gearbox on ebay.de fetched nearly 1000 euros I would say this is priced about right, you can probably add 200 euros onto the price for shipping to the UK.

well my current vr6 has TDI golf internals, and the box would need a rebuild i think anyway I think. to stick the quaife in there that I have.

Im too green on half this stuff, which is a pity, I thik I will email the guy on the buy it now one, but the one you have highlighted is much much cheaper right now.

maybe the guy broke the transfer box, i have a rally box and transfer but its ‘sold’ pending feedback from someone. I have been advised im better off geting a vr6 snycro box for the vr6 engine, regardless of the fact I have already got the rallye box ( As you know chris i got all the bits that the other chris had with his syncro shell)

Well as a minimum you need at least the VR6 Syncro bellhousing, and they are not exactly in plentiful supply,
overall the ratios are higher in the VR6 box which makes it a useful item to have with a powerful motor, after all its no good having a brilliant 0 to 60 time and no real top speed.

if your in no hurry i’ll have a vr6 transfer box and rear diff soon enough, then all you need is a vr6 syncro bellhousing…

not in a huge hurry will, so I will be happy to take this off your hands!! I know we discussed this previously on msn so I will give you a commited response to buying it, perhaps you can PM/post me a price ballpark so I know what to ‘put aside’ on the cash front.

So if I was to buy said gearbox in original ebay link and have Will’s bits, that would be the all the gearbox/transmission ui needed?

First one, no its a 4 cylinder one.

I’ve also had a VR6 Syncro transfer unit and rear differential for sale for a long time, but the jaw-dropping sheer number of timewasters I’ve had over these has meant I just don’t bother advertising them anymore.
