ParticipantAfter owning my mk2 golf for the last 5years, the time has come for me to move on. It started off life out the factory in ’88 as a Campaign GTi 8v and is now G60.
i have used it daily and loved every minute, here’s more about the car…
Engine:
The engine has been recently completely overhauled
Supercharger has been rebuilt by gwerks about 2k miles ago
Rallye 1H block bored to take PG pistons with new piston rings
polished crank with new big end bearings and new main bearings
new valve guides
new valve springs
new stem seals
new tappets
new alternator
new water pump
new Jetex 2.5″ stainless exhaust system, and stainless cat bypass
basically, every component, gasket, belt, nut and bolt has been replaced.Transmission:
Cable change G60 gearbox with VR6 1st, 2nd & 5th gears, much better for acceleration than standard g60 ratios.
Hydraulic clutch system
new clutchSuspension:
koni top adjustable shocks
h&r springs
g60 front top mounts
neuspeed anti roll barBrakes:
g60 280mm brakes
mk3 rear calipers
mk3 24mm master cylinderWheels & Tyres:
9×16 borbet a’s these are in immaculate condition
205/40r16Exterior:
Standard 90 spec kit, with g60 front arches, colour coded mirrors, single wiper
arches rolled and sealed to accept the awesome wheels,Interior
Standard Rainbow trim in very good condition, momo steering wheelMisc:
Clifford Concept 300, central locking, electric windows11 months MOT, 5 months tax, 160k miles, but as you can clearly see nearly everything has been replaced or uprated.
££££’s have been spent on this car and i will be very sad to see it go, this is very quick car and a real head turner,
