    i have bought a 16v converted syncro.
in process of removing rock hard 100mm too low coilovers..
i have a aquired a free set of ralye springs and dampers..
fronts on ok, but rears seem to have a ring or clip missing from damper tube.as shock tube rises up into boot when you press rear of car down.
someone told me that mk1 rear shocks would fit ok?
    please help.

    Welcome to the forum.

Any chance of you posting details and pictures of the exhaust manifold / downpipe that has been used to fit the 16V into the Syncro chassis on your car?

will do, just in process of sorting it out
runs hot and does not go like a 16v should!

I’m interested because I intend to fit my 16V G60 engine I’ve recently built into my G60 Syncro once it comes out of the body shop, so I’m looking at ideas for exhaust manifolds.

Look forward to seeing more about your car.

As for the missing clip/ring you are missing either or both of
    p/n 8D0 512 097 snap ring
    p/n 191 512 119 ring

It should cost about one pound fifty for both of these from the dealer, or you could try the scrappy
