MemberHi. I’m after a 1.8 standard carb engine for my G-reg syncro.
It must be in good running order. I live in the north of England (Cumbria) and could collect from anywhere up north, midlands or southern Scotland.
So if you’ve just put a 8v/16v/VR6/20vTurbo in your Syncro and need to get rid of that underpowered carb model let me know.If anyone out there knows a source for good reconditioned engines I would be grateful for any information.
Thanks

MemberI’ve sourced an engine now. I’ll post details on the supplier and how good they are when it arrives and is fitted.

MemberIf anyone else is looking for spares I have an original syncro engine thats anyone can have so long as they collect it.
It seems to be fairly intact, not sure if it works ive never tried it.
Thanks Rob

MemberI might be interested in having some spares… Where are you located (I’m up north in the Lakes)? How much did you want for it?

MemberI’m planning a trip to the Peak District in the next few weeks, but I’m not entirely sure when it will be (it depends upon other peoples plans too!).
If you’ve still got it then I’ll take it off your hands, but don’t save it for me if someone else will take it first.
I’ll let you know in advance when my trip will be, but let me know if you get rid of it first if you can…
