So after removing a chunk of ziptie from inside the carb [:0] I think I need to set it up properly. I’d follow the setup advice in this topic but I’m honestly not sure where the mixture / idle screws are on the carb.

Does anyone have any photos of them in-situ? I think I found the idle screw (on the front right of the carb, recessed in a hole), but I’m not sure if it’s idle or mixture.

Found this – http://www.vwsyncro.co.uk/data/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1384 – though interestingly the mixture screw seems to be on the opposite side on mine…! Adjusting it now… [:)]
