Hey!
I’m working on my MK2 sycnro / Haldex conversion right now….but I was wondering if there are any options for doing a ‘widetrack’ conversion for the rear? For the front, many MK3 parts can be swapped into the MK2 to give a ‘widetrack’. Can the same be done for the rear? Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Yes I have a “wide track” rear axle on my MK2 Syncro, you need a pair of GOLF 3 VR6 Syncro rear arms, as the Passat VR6 arms are not wide track, I will post part numbers later when I get ETKA installed on my new computer [

Awesome, thats what I was hoping to hear.
Part numbers would be greatly appreciated!
The rear wishbones that you need are part numbers 1H0 505 347 & 1H0 505 348 L + R, as fitted to the Golf 3 VR6Syncro
no others will give the wide track rear
unsuitable narrow track ones are p/ns
1H0 505 347A & 1H0 505 348A – Golf 3 Syncro 4 cylinder
357 505 347 & 357 505 348 – Passat VR6 Syncro
or anything starting with a 191 or 357 number
Awesome, thank you! Now the hunt for the Golf 3 VR6 Syncro wishbones begins…. [

What about the axles? If I convert the rear beam to use the Haldex, then I’ve read I can use the standard MK2 Syncro rear axles…..correct? Thanks in advance!
Nevermind….figured it out
