Like the subject says… I believe it’s from a Skoda Octavia RS. Part number 02C409053M
I’m in the USA, but I’ve got a mate in the UK this could ship to.
Thanks!
skoda octavia 4×4 elegance, you`ll be very lucky to find here, try on ebay.de still fetching £600 – 800 for the box no-one wants to split
Almost had one here… sold last week!!!
Do you think these Skoda units are more fragile than the others, Nutter? Seems like you’ve busted a few!
so far yes, but they are the only 02C/J 17/27 transfer box availible and sadly only made from cast alloy, its broken with 350 -400 ftlb torque, gone over to 02m now so far all good the change is smoother so should see me some better times on the qtr, but i`ve not tested it at santa pod yet
It’s too bad the guts won’t swap into the earlier steel transfer box, that would be the perfect fix, plus I’ve got a couple of those kicking around… Are we sure that even a good machinist couldn’t make that work? When your transfer boxes went, did it destroy the gearset as well?
Hell, maybe I’ll be ok as is… I’m only envisioning a modestly hopped up TDI for mine.
