Tedious description bit:
Below is my Rallye that I have decided to sell as I just don’t use it anymore and has pretty much been in storage for the last couple of years. I have owned this car since September 2006. It had a full respray about two years ago and last year it had a fully refurbished transfer box (refurbished by Chris from this website, if he remembers [8D]) put on. I also ran the transfer box in as recommended by Chris by running it for 500 miles and then changing the gear oil, which was done.
The car was first registered in Jan 1991 and has done 258,100 kms and is in red. It has just passed it’s MOT so is good until July 25th 2011 and it’s taxed until the end of March 2011.
It had a brand new charger from Jabba put on at around 232,000 kms so there’s plenty of life left in it before it needs to be serviced.
It has a BRM ported and polished head, Autotech G60 cam, Autothority chip with 500 rpm extra rev range, giro check valve, K&N filter, 3.5 bar fpr, 68mm pulley, custom stainless exhaust system with cats removed.
The gearbox was completely rebuilt around 2003 when the previous owner had it.
The wheels are TH Monos in 8 x 16 with Toyo Proxes T1 Rs in 195/40/16
The stereo is Blaupunkt, it’s not the top of the range or anything, but it does the job and it also has a MP3 connector so you can at least play your MP3s through it.
It has the deep electric recaro Rallye front seats, but they are not wired up although I have a loom for it which will go with the sale. The rear seats have headrests.
There are a load or receipts for work done including a number of old ones from Germany where I believe it was imported from in 1998. Previous owner had it from 1998 until 2006 and then I’ve had it from 2006 until now.
It’s not been run much really as you can see from the MOT’s below the last time the oil and plugs were changed were in May 2009, but it’s hardly done any miles.
Last three MOTs read the following miles –
July 25th 2008 256103 kms
July 3rd 2009 256666 kms
July 1st 2010 258052 kms
When the transfer box was refurbed I also got various bolts, bearings and couplings replaced on the propshaft while it was off so it would save time and money in the future. Just recently it has had and OSF caliper replaced, the brake pipes replaced for the MOT and also a drive shaft coupling.
Unfortunately no car is perfect and the two things to note are that there is a small bubble coming through on the drivers sill and one of the front alloys has been curbed by my dad when he did me a favour. Not impressed, but what can you do. Just want to be honest about it.
I took it for a spin at the weekend and I forgot how good these are in 3rd gear. Brings a smile to my face every time. Anyway, after my wash, polish and wax at the weekend it’s now in association with orange Dodo juice so I’ll let some more pics do the talking.
The Pictures You Want To See Bit:
Below is the slight bubble on the sill that’s coming through. Look to the left of the jacking point.
Curbed alloy, look around 3 – 5 o’clock. 😥
Any questions please contact me on the number above and thanks for looking.
