VR6 Transfer Box Mounting

I got a Passat syncro system from Canada an I am in America. It of course has the 16v semi circular mount for the case to motor. Does anyone know how this worked for VR syncro cars? I cannot find any pics.

There is no factory 16v Syncro, can you explain a bit more which ‘mount’ you mean please?

The mount on the end of the transfer box? How or where would I make a mount for the vr6?

That one? you need P/N 02C 409 905B (6 cylinder bracket)

cos the VR6 motorblock should have the mounting lugs to allow the bracket to be bolted on

Anyway you could source a bracket for me as I’m in the USA and cannot seem to find anything near this. I don’t want to make something if I don’t have too.

The car is going to be planning on putting down a lot of power so I absolutely need this.

I have a nearly new 02C 409 905 4 cylinder bracket here, I will post photos later.

the correct bracket may still be available from the VW Dealers, I will check after christmas.

BTW The brackets in the photo are for the 020 rodchange 4 cylinder
box/transfer box

I have the 4 cylinder bracket just seeing if you can get your hands on one. If you could check after Christmas I’d very much appreciate it.
