My G60 Syncro is currently a bare shell still after I had it painted many, many months ago. I have just taken off the front subframe for powder coating and so on, and now I am wondering if this is a good time to take down the propshaft and replace anything on that while I’m at it, even though I’m not aware of any problems with it.

Are there any parts on the propshaft that are known to wear? For instance the bearings or joints?

The only part that I do need to replace on it so far is the bush in the middle of the doughnut at the front.

I just want to build this car back up so it’ll last.

    Thanks

Actually I just re-read the propshaft bearing replacement guide by ChrisS and realised that there’s no mention of having to lower any subframes. So I’m thinking I might as well just buy some bearings to keep safe in case I need them because, by the sound of it, replacing them wouldn’t really be all that hard with the car all built back up.
