    Hi – just a thought – what possible damage (if any) could be caused by running temporarily without a propshaft (i.e. with the rear drive from the transfer box connected to nothing)??

    As long as your rear diff & transfer box are working normally & not damaged then there is no problem to running minus the propshaft in 2wd.
