MemberAhhh the flange where the rear prop out take from the transfer box has come out, so the oil is leaking and the prop flange is rubbing on the steering rack.
I’ve tried pushing it in and it just come back out.
What should hold it in and what could have caused it to bust??……
My personal diagnosis is:- did the garage put it on a rolling road and bust it when doing the MOT. (I never normally leave the car but on this occasion I had no choice).
Help please!!
many thannks

ModeratorIi it went with a bang then it sounds more like the bearing has fell to pieces, in which case the gear teeth are likely to be shot as well, you will see as soon as you drain the oil!
