1989 Rallye Golf imported from Germany with 2 previous owners in 2003. I’m the first UK owner. Blue pearlescent paint LC5Z
Standard car apart from stainless steel exhaust manifold.
Correct 1H engine, ASU gearbox and early cast transfer box.
Side repeaters and rear fog lights wired up for UK use. 160mph speedo fitted. Sigma M30 Cat 1 alarm with installation certificate.
Electric Recaros and interior in good condition. No holes in cloth. Drivers side upper bolster has some stitching unravelled on the leather, not torn.
Stage 4 charger in mint condition with standard pulley installed in 11/07 with Theibach RS chip. Should be nudging 185-190 bhp.
All receipts and paperwork for last 4 1/2 years including owners manual and VW “birth certificate”
Rust blisters on front section of each sill and underneath drivers side front and rear arch. No holes in metal.
Front FK coilovers replaced with springs and shockers. Rear still has coilovers but new replacements on way from VWsyncro in next few weeks and will be supplied with car.
RH front wheel bearing will need replacing as has become noisy and causing ABS light to be intermittant. New RH sensor supplied and all other 3 have been replaced. Spare ABS pump and computer supplied with car and spare rear differential.
4 new tyres fitted and just had gearbox mount replaced with Vibra-technics one to improve gearchanges. Also had new Bosch exchange alternator and battery fitted.
£3000 car located in Edinburgh.

Leaving the Syncro fold, or moving on to bigger, better things?
As requested, some pictures of the surface corrosion on the LH arches.
If the car goes before the end of March, the buyer can have it for £2900 as that is when the road tax is due.
