ParticipantI purchased a front right passat g60 syncro 35i driveshaft, the bugger will not fit

Are passat syncro front driveshafts longer? seems about a few cm to long. With it fitted the hub is wonky, and there is aboslutely no movement in the hub.

ModeratorThey are 1 inch(25mm)to long, you could do a wide track conversion (total increase 2 ins) though if you fit the Passat lower triangles & steering rack.

ModeratorThey usually are advertised as fitting both the Golf & Passat Syncro but as you found out they dont ! mind you the rear ones do fit both Passat & Golf2 though, possibly thats where the confusion arises?
Could you not get the hollow right hand drive shaft cut down & rewelded? for the left hand shaft any Golf2 G60 shaft will fit.April 1, 2008 at 4:40 pm #4345blue95
