MemberSome time ago I was going to build my own three-door MK2 syncro shell. I cut up a rusty five-door syncro for its floor pans and I started to source the syncro parts that I would need. I did a deal to buy the MK3 VR6 Syncro parts that have been taken off a well knonw 4WD Corrado. There has been a change of plan because I ended up buying a genuine G60 Syncro instead which I am starting to restore, and hence I will most probably sell off the other Syncro parts I collected, including the VR6 bits.
The VR6 parts are still with the original seller up in York (I am in Oxfordshire and have not been able to collect them yet) and so a potential buyer may have to arrange for collection from there.
The parts consist of the MK3 VR6 transfer unit for the gearbox, the rear VC, and the rear differential, and a Skoda gearbox to use with it (can’t remember the specific type right now).
These are difficult parts to get hold of I understand and are a lot tougher than standard syncro or Rallye items, so are ideal for some big-bhp 4WD conversion.
The whole lot came to over 700 quid so I shall be wanting to get most of that back.
I check my PMs on here each day.
Regards
Trev

MemberDo you still have the rear diff crossmember from the rusty 5 door? Crossmember is welded into the boot floor.

MemberI do. It is still attached to the rest of the boot floor, which is leaning up against a wall in one of the garages…!

MemberI already have all the Syncro boot floor sheetmetal new from VW. I’m just missing the crossmember. If you don’t sell the complete boot floor locally, would you be willing to cut the crossmember from the floor and ship it across the pond to Canada? I am not in a rush, so you can get back to me at your convenience.

MemberI would be prepared to sell the VR6 parts separate from the gearbox but I don’t want to split them up further than that.
I will be able to look closely at the Skoda gearbox at the weekend.

MemberSorry mate – I’ll give you a shout over the weekend. I’m a bit busy during the week.
I’m not prepared to split the parts (except the gearbox) and I’m firm on the price above.
