well the time has come to sell ….my beloved mk2 g60 syncro..( was 20vt/ gt30/ omex etc)
the car is on the readers ride section ..
i have already sold the turbo set up /managment/eng loom/….
but it still has the quaife 6 speed straight cut box and diff , and all the perfect running gear..
in the engine bay is a 1.9 block and early agu forged steel crank,,still on its mounts etc..
the pistons ( wiesco de comp 8/5/1/are still with the car but 1 needs replacing ..also the scat rods
( 1 needs a little end bush )
also included in the sale is the rebuilt agu large port head only done 3k( built by wilma aka headman )
there is also the custom made non stretch head bolts ( fully re usable)…front mount radtech intercooler
custom made for the car..
the brakes are still the rota 280s up front and 256 rotas at the back with good spec pads..abs is still on the
car too …
fully polly bushed running gear
saftey devices half cage
wheels speedline corsa2s with yoko prada s on …in white
corrado storm dash ( red dials )corrado adjustable steering column
raid 280mm steering wheel
the shell has never been welded nor does it need any anywhere atall..factory sealant still mint..
only grot is round the fuel filler ( easy repair )to be honest she is beautiful..
seats pair of recaro rs turbos not yet modified the base frames ( easy job )rather keep them though..
the list goes on and on ..but to be honest its greiving me to sell so rather talk to people than try and type it all out

I’ve now got to go home and speak to my wife….
I’ve been after a 3dr syncro RHD (which I now know were never made) so its good that the lhd to rhd conversion has been done, I do intend to put an R32 unit in a syncro, but suppose this would do until then
**Just read the post again as well as the ed38 one & now see the car is a non runner, how much would it cost to get it working?( my wife wouldn’t even look at it if its not working)**

depends what you mean by running a straight 20vt complete is the easiest way….but you could just put a turbo on the engine in the car …either way its not cheap ..but owning such a rare car never is …i cant reply with a price really as it all depends if you want 400 bhp as i had or 280 !!!!!
sorry …dale..all i will say is if you take out the 20vt stuff and r32 it it will be a hell of a car …and the gbox will pay for most of your conversion,,as its worth 3k ..and alot of people are chasing me to split the car for the box..if you go r32 the box is of no use to you any way…so buy the car sell the box and engine componets and treat ya self to the r32 syncro 3 dr rhd ya always wanted….

Not bothered about 400bhp or even 280bhp at the minute, to be honest it just has to drive as its the base car I’m after, haldex & other magic would come later.
Probably would sell the box anyway, do you still have the std box to put back in or engine for that matter? Would the guys who built the engine be able to put the other piston back in to get it running? This would become a long term project for me (last time I spunked £20k into an S2000 & the mrs nearly divorced me!)

what i would suggest then is to speak to matt at dubunit whop was my right hand man in the original project and he will sort a deal i am sure …the gearbox would pay a massive part of putting a std 20vt back in the car
call matt he knows the car as i do and does conversions for a living ( dubunit )01827 288778..10 til 6 open times ..he is a guru
