this are the most rarest wheels ever made
The Golf Country Chrome was a limited run of just over 500 of the Country (initially the Montana) and part of the Syncro family. At first these were sold with the 15″ Le Castellettes as found on several other VW Golfs, but more commonly in the 14″ size
The Calmaster came in 7×15″ and ET28. Due to the design of the dish, they do not fit over 256mm brake calipers without the use of a 5mm spacer. County’s originally came with the 239mm front brakes
Later these were sold with Calmaster wheels from the USA. Now obsolete and originally costing approx £250 + vat. These wheels also came in two versions and Im unsure of any numbers of each, but there were 5 wheels per Chrome edition as there was a full size spare
Here is the version I have with the smooth rims. These are genuine as they are stamped with a correct VW part number
The other version has what appears to be psuedo bolts, and was the version shown in the later Country Chrome brochure.
Quite frankly one, if not my favourite, VW wheel!
