I’m wanting to swap haldex into my Rallye without using an after market controller. Does anyone know if i can just swap in the abs and esp system or do I need to have some communication with the ecu as well?
The Motronic ECM provides the following
signals to the Haldex control module along
the CAN bus:
• Engine speed signal
• Accelerator pedal position
• Engine torque
Effects of signal failure:
• The Haldex unit will not operate
so if you have a car that never had haldex before and fited it and use a controller does the controller need any inputs at all?
ie this controller
http://thettshop.com/performance.asp?cat=3066&product=600427
you need the a 4 mo to fit that product
ok maybe you could point me in the right direction, i have the 02m gearbox and the rear haldex diff out of a tt and it is going into a mk1 golf, do you know what i would need to control the haldex?
i realise it usually uses the can bus but i dont have that and dont know how others have done it(haldex scirroco, mk1 golfs, rallyes etc)
easy put the standard ecu in with the whole loom, at least it`ll run the way its supposed to, don`t think i know anyone that has done it this way all standalone or a switchable locked rear diff
im planning on running motec for the engine and dont have access the whole loom nor will i have the relavent sensors required for the haldex to be working as it was.
can you recomend controller for my application?, i need it for daily use so needs to be able to be turned of for parking, plus i will be using the car on the track and drag stip too lol so ineed it to be readily turned on/off.
what one did you use?
i have seen a few controllers but im not sure if i need any inputs to them or if they just work as 50/50 or 100f/0r or anything inbetween via a switch
great help so far this is the last hurdle for me and im really anxious to get it sorted
never used a controller until i built my mk1, up until then it was on or off , fwd 100% or 50/50, now its similar but little more controlable
and how where you achieving that?
