hi just had the car jacked up and it has 02a on the rear of it could it be that the case has been used to house the quaife gear kit because it says on the quaife site the the kit will also fit rallye and the g60 ?
Basically its only the 02C bellhousing thats different to fit the transfer box instead of an oil seal & drive flange for the 2WD set up
ahh ok so the skoda angle drive should fit then ?
does this mean that a skoda angle drive could be used to replace a worn transfer box from a rallye? will it have the same ratios?
no you cant replace, ratios are wrong for syncro, also the skoda is a bolt in CV flange
the problem with my transfer box is that the drive splines are very worn. could anyone suggest a replacement transfer box to go on my gearbox (cbc code i think, possibly from passat g60 syncro). shared oilway type gearbox, although not too fussed about this as the oilways are blocked off at the moment.
Basically any cable change 02C 4 cylinder transfer box will do, it can be from either a Golf 2 or 3 or a Passat 35i.
wicked, i’ll keep my eyes peeled for a good ‘un.
