mate of mine makes a controller for for the heldex diff and you get a volume dial on the dash to send the power you want to the rear wheels works well think he sells his kit for £300
Hello mate,
do you have any more info on your mates haldex controller kit, am very interested
he puts a different stepping motor in it haldex unit, makes a new computer and programes it with the dial that goes on your dash. so you can have fwd or switch it on then you have 4wd and depending on how far you turn the dial depends on how much power goes to the back hope this helps
How do we get in touch with your friend?

Hi I’m looking to make one of these controllers but I need the control motor and temp sender thats on the rear diff. With these I should be able to make up a controller with a dash display and either switched or variable control with disconnect on braking if reqd. would take me about 6 months I guess and would be helpful if someone was interested in being a guinea pig.
Its not going to have all the sensor inputs, so no abs or steering angle sensors, just a basic 2wd,partial to the rear or 4wd option with some safety/failsafe stuff buit in.
is there much interest?
can’t see the bits costing more than £100 tops
anyone?
Mike
anyone got any more info on these im looking for one but im about 900 short for the one from dutch build but would still like one to be able to switch it from off and to 60-40 and 50-50
i don’t see how you have preset power splits.
100% of the power goes to the front diff – end of, if there is slip between the front tyres and the road, torque can be sent to the rear diff.
so powersplit should always vary between 100/0 and 0/100 depending on how much traction the front end has.
50/50 to me sounds like a permantly locked system, in situations where all wheels have plenty grip and trying to turn at different speeds.
for example having a play on a track with some sticky tyres that would put massive unnecessary strain on components
Im a friend of markiev6 and his mate is making up one of these controllers for me, i will call him and find out if we can do a group buy depending on numbers….
