gu engine with gti head.idle issues?

I have now fitted the gu with a pb head, I have had the head
reconditined but when the engine is warm it idles bad like runing on 3 cylinders. It seem fine driving but just sitting its rough.

Has anyone found this after doing this mod ?
It seems to be over fueling as its ok with a smaller idle jet but will not accelerate smooth so I have to stick with a larger jet.
It has dmtl weber fitted.
Do I have to live with the bad idle or should this head run smooth even with a carb ?

I was going to use the gu head but with the gti cam if I cant solve the idle issues, has anyone done this mod and was it any good ?

This should work very well as the PB head & Weber carb are worth about 10 or 12 bhp

I think the idle issues are possibly related to the vacuum system as you also have no 4wd in reverse which is also vacuum operated.

used to run a pb head and 32/34 dmtl. i had no problems at all amd i was useing a slightly more bumpy cam again, kent gs2h
