    For most people its the 4 doors that are the problem, as it is not seen as sporty enough,

    I wonder if converting a 4 door Syncro shell to 2 doors would be an easier conversion than the floor pan?

    or possibly converting a left hand drive to right hand? I think that the latter would be my choice.

    I would have to say yes.

    It’s been done to convert MKIII Jettas into coupes several times. It involves moving the C Pillar rearward, and using coupe doors, and coupe rear sheet metal.

    The 2wd-Syncro conversion has also been done in the US several times, since they have no choice but to do it, since the Syncro Golf and Jetta were never available in the US. Most of the threads I’ve seen on this subject were VERY time consuming projects.
