Fuel tank seal – ’92 Passat Estate

Hi from over here in syncro starved New Jersey!

I am building a B4 syncro using ’92 B3 drive train and fuel tank. http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=226323 I need the rubber seal that is seated in the fuel tank where the filler neck is inserted. It carries part number 351 201 455 but when I ordered this p/n at the dealer what I got was the “gaiter” that fits on the outside of the filler neck and keep dirt out of this connection.

Is this something that the VW dealers in the UK offer?

Try P/N 191 201 180 its what I have listed for a 92 Passat Syncro.

Hi Chris,

I called VW again…I was incorrect in my comment…191 201 180 gets you the gaiter, and 351 201 455 dosn’t show up at all when VW parts does a search – it may be obsolete. So it’s off to the generic auto parts store to find a piece of radiator hose of the same dimensions and some fuel tank sealer.

update: called VW again with p/n 357 201 451 and 6N0 201 451 and both are good numbers for a Sharan, but they’re for the China and Mexico markets so the parts guy is going to see if he can get them through Audi…to be continued on Monday

On 01-12-2006 P/N 357 201 451 was dropped & replaced by P/N 7M3 201 451

on 01-04-2007 P/N 6N0 201 451 was dropped & replaced by P/N 7M3 201 451A

These new numbers are both listed for the Sharan, the first for the petrol engine, the second for the diesel.
